Review of the Jellyfish From ADJ
In my new role for American DJ I get the opportunity to visit many DJ equipment dealers across the country hence giving me the chance to ask them how the feel the business is going. Many are currently finding business slow, reflecting the regular conversations I have with working pro mobile DJ's. The main feedback I get is that they feel our business will not recover until summer 2011.
With weddings and corporate events being booked usually nine to twelve months in advance i tend to agree with them and this brought me to think how are we going to survive this year?.
Diversity (not the dance act) I feel is the way forward. We now need to be more than just entertainers we need to offer more diverse services to increase our income from the bookings we do have. Photo booths, confetti cannons and up lighting are just a few of the ideas that are becoming popular as an "add on" to the mobile DJ service. Lets keep our fingers crossed and think out of the box and ensure that we keep our business strong throughout the summer.
